We are seeking a Data Management Software Developer who is motivated to use analytical and detail-oriented skills to develop and maintain software processes to import and manage large scale real estate data. This new team member will develop, monitor, and support multiple automation imports for millions of real estate listings, photos, and other media from large data sources.
Responsibilities
- Develop processes and scripts to sync real estate listing data from multiple sources
- Monitor continually running import processes to ensure timely updates of all data
- Maintain data pipelines and job queues for photo resizing and CDN asset delivery
- Map imported raw data to standardized naming conventions
- Geocode listing addresses for map interface searching
- Optimize database storage engine, configurations and queries for peak sync performance
- Manage data migrations, server instances, and backups
- Create search options for customer searching of real estate data via web applications
- Validate, diagnose, and triage client reported data issues and inconsistencies
Skills We Are Looking For
- Strong fundamental programming skills in PHP, NodeJS (or equivalent language)
- Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL
- Proficiency with SQL query writing
- Understanding of relational and document store databases
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage own time and work effectively to achieve team goals on schedule
- Curiosity and desire to learn unfamiliar topics
Nice to Have
- Experience with real estate listing management
- Knowledge of RESO Data Dictionary specifications and transport layers
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Experience with Apache Kafka
